February 7, 2012
5:30 pmto6:45 pm

In the Berkshires, winter can seem like it lasts forever. All the more reason to stay healthy and energized all winter long.

On Tuesday, February 7, from 5:30 to 6:45 pm, Wild Oats Market in Williamstown will host a free workshop on Beating the Winter Blues with Holistic Health Counselor and Certified Life Coach Debbie Corey. Debbie will introduce the concept of living and eating with the season and recommend foods, supplements and lifestyle modifications to boost one’s energy and sense of well-being during the winter months. She will discuss how lack of sunshine affects us physically and psychologically, and how to raise our serotonin levels in winter. She will also talk about the natural rhythms of the seasons, and how diet and self-care practices that are based on seasonal rhythms can help us enjoy health and well-being throughout the year. Class participants will sample a dish prepared by the Wild Oats staff, using root vegetables and other ingredients that are beneficial to the body during the winter months.

This workshop is free and open to all. To register, please email marketing@wildoats.coop; or contact Robin at (413) 458-8060; or sign up at the Wild Oats Customer Service desk.
